This app displays the most recent posts from your organization's Facebook page.
This app will only work with Facebook pages. It is not compatible with Facebook profile accounts or groups. You can convert your profile account to a Facebook page by clicking on the link below and following the instructions on that page.
There are three steps to setting up the Facebook App.
- Set the number of posts you would like included in the app using the drop-down menu. The "default" setting in that menu will maximize the number of posts in the app.
- Enter either the username or the URL for the Facebook page. You can find the username or choose one when you log into the Facebook account and click "Edit Page" and "Update Info". The username should be listed in this format: www.facebook.com/example
- Click on the yellow "Save App" button at the bottom of the page.
If the Facebook App is not showing on your site, you may have entered the username or URL of the Facebook Page incorrectly. The URL should look something like this:
In the example above, the username for the Facebook account is "example". Make sure the URL you enter does not include an "s" after "http".
Another possible reason the Facebook App will not be displayed on your page is because the Facebook permissions for the page cannot have any restrictions. Check the permissions for the page by logging into the Facebook account and clicking "Edit Page" and "Edit Settings". The most common restriction in place is the country restriction. Make sure all countries are allowed to see the page.
If you just want to put a link from your site to your Facebook account, you should use the Button App rather than the Facebook App. Facebook provides images for you to use on your website. Click on the link below to see the available Facebook icons. We recommend downloading the .png version of the "f" logo.
Another option is to use a Page Badge on your site. Facebook can provide the HTML code for the badge for you to use in an HTML App or into the source view of the Text Editor App Click on the link below to get the necessary HTML code:
